David S. Brown, M.D.
Board Certified Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon
In addition to treating children with traumatic injuries such as sprains and fractures, Dr. Brown sees patients with a wide variety of conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system. His patients include children with congenital problems such as hip dysplasia and limb deformities, as well as kids with developmental issues including scoliosis, cerebral palsy and muscle disease.
Dr. Brown is a Houston native and he did his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin. He received his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He completed his internship and residency at John Peter Smith/Fort Worth Affiliated Hospitals and his fellowship at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego. Dr. Brown is board certified in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery.
As a physician and father of two daughters, Dr. Brown enjoys feeling like an integrated part of his community. “I love kids, and I love families,” he says. “I often have a chance to meet the family close to the child who is injured because we go to the same church or our kids play on the same volleyball team.”
Dr. Brown enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering in the community, snow skiing and playing volleyball.
